_{Praise Choir and Band}

"In the conduct of our public worship where is the authority of Christ to be found? The truth is that today the Lord rarely controls a service, and the influence He exerts is very small. We sing of Him and preach about Him, but He must not interfere; we worship our way, and it must be right because we have always done it that way, as have the other churches in our group." A.W. Tozer

We don't want that to be said of the worship at First Conyers.  The desire of the First Conyers Praise Choir and Band is to use the talents and gifts that God has given each member to bring glory to Him alone.  Its also our desire that each member have a growing relationship with Christ and that their worship not just be demonstrated on Sunday morning but throughout the entire week. 

The requirements to join the praise choir and praise band are as follows:

A relationship with Jesus Christ clearly demonstrated by lifestyle, "but someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from works, and I will show you my faith by my works." James 2:18

Some skillful musicanship,  "Sing joyfully to the Lord...sing to him a new song; play SKILLFULLY, and shout for joy." Psalm 33:1-3 

The praise choir and band meet every week for rehearsal on Wednesdays.  The choir meets at 6:00PM in the College Room until 6:55PM.  The Praise Band rehearses at 8:30PM on Wednesday nights after orchestra practice.
