What time are the Sunday morning worship services and what do they consist of?
It does not matter which service you choose to attend, but we are certain you will find excitement in worship and powerful communication of God’s Word through the teaching ministry of Dr. Jeff Meyers in both services. Here is a brief description of the styles of each service. Dr. Meyers message is identical in both services.
9:30 AM – Classic Service – This service provides a blend of hymns and choruses, accompanied by a 70 voice choir and 25 piece orchestra. Specials provided by the choir and orchestra vary from Southern Gospel selections to Contemporary Praise and Worship Anthems. Each week, we preach messages based on topics that we feel are needed at the time. Our Minister of Music is in charge of the planning and preparation for the this service. We try to do everything with a mark of excellence so our services are relevant, relational, and rousing.
11:00 AM – Contemporary Service – This service is a growing community built upon the foundation of creating a fresh, relevant, and authentic environment where people are inspired to learn and respond to the ways of Jesus. This service employs our FBCC Worship Team to provide the cutting edge worship music that the contemporary ear is looking for. Selections from Hillsong, Passion, Lakewood and others provide the framework for a contemporary worship service of high caliber. We incorporate current, high-quality video, and engaging teaching to lead people to a better understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.
What is available for my children on Sunday morning?
Quality and safe care is provided for all ages. No matter the age, your child will receive age appropriate Bible study and excellent care.
Preschool (birth – 4 years old) meets in the “Train Station” during both services. Preschool welcome centers are located at both entrances to the preschool area where you will find a friendly greeter to check your child in and take you to his/her classroom. Your child will enjoy a Bible story, activities, playtime, music, and snacks in a safe and secure environment.
Children (Kindergarten – 6th Grade) meet in the “Extreme Zone” during both services. At 9:30 AM elementary children (K-4th grade) attend Kid’s Worship while pre-teens attend Sunday School. At 11:00 AM elementary children attend Sunday School and pre-teens attend Kid’s Worship. Kid’s worship is an exciting time where kids will experience singing, games, and a relevant message from God’s Word. Sunday School is a time for kids to break into small groups which facilitate the learning and application of the Bible to a child’s everyday life. Friendly greeters are at the Extreme Zone welcome desk to assist you.
Students (7th–12th Grade) meet in the student area (2nd floor) at 9:30 AM for relevant Bible study which is discussed and applied in small groups. High school and middle school students meet in separate areas for an opening time and then break into graded groups for Bible Study. Students attend the 11:00 AM Contemporary Worship Service.

First Conyers accepts members by beginning a relationship with Christ for the first time, baptism by immersion, letter from another Baptist church, or through statement from a like-faith church who baptizes by immersion. The best way to understand who First Conyers is and how to join is to attend our Discover First class on the first Sunday night of every month. Click here to register. The Discover First class is a “no strings attached” opportunity for you to learn about First Conyers and the commitment level we desire before you join.
